8 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1/2 cup water
2 Tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Place apples in medium saucepot
Add 1/2 cup water and 2 Tablespoons of fresh lemon juice.
Cook slowly over low heat until apples are soft, stirring often. If applesauce gets too thick, add a small amount of water.
Remove from heat and then add 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
Mash apples with fork until desired consistency is reached.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
