Due to Philadelphia's Covid-19 restrictions all guests must wear masks indoors.
Fully vaccinated guests can remove their masks in outdoor public areas.

Sip, shop, eat and stroll the Italian Market like a local.

  • Your guide, Chef Jacquie grew up two blocks from the Italian Market. Her culinary expertise is available for you during the food tour.
  • Meet shop owners, cheese mongers, chefs and bakers, sample their food and receive a special shopping discount.
  • Authentic South Philly Sunday dinner fare is served along with wine. We finish with coffee and a selection of Italian desserts.

Professional chef-led food tour. Tour guide is native to the Italian Market. Small group - up to 10

Tour runs Thursday through Saturday at 4:00pm

Your safety is our priority, we follow all covid-19 protocol. Not wheelchair accessible.

Food tour runs rain or shine. Please bring an umbrella. If raining, we provide disposable ponchos.

Tour available in English and Italian

Complimentary wine served with food samples and dinner. Must be 21 with valid ID

What to Expect

We meet at the Visitor’s Center and start with a welcome toast of wine and cheese.

Beginning of the tour will focus on meeting shop owners, shopping and tasting the best of what the Italian Market has to offer.  Bring your shopping list, guests receive a special discount for being on our tour.

We dine at the oldest Family run restaurant in our country, for a plate of pasta and a glass of vino.

After dinner we take an Italian passeggiata (stroll) and settle down at the café for coffee and a sampling of desserts.

The safety of our guests is our main priority. Our Tour guides will continue to wear a mask. Fully vaccinated guests do not need to wear a mask. Please wear a mask if  you are not fully vaccinated. Our vendors will be taking precautions and following safety protocols and may require all guests to wear a mask.  Hand sanitizer will be provided.

Sniff, swirl and sip extra virgin olive oils, premium balsamic vinegars, salts and honey at this interactive tasting room.

Meet the families!

We meet the shop owners families, and then sample their foods including the best meatball in town!

It's gravy not sauce!

Pull up a chair and eat with us at our South Philly Italian Family Dinner table. Pasta with Italian gravy or penne alla vodka and a glass of wine are on the menu.

There is always room for dessert!

Coffee and a selection of Italian desserts await you after our passeggiata (stroll). Now this is what "La Dolce Vita" is all about!
